Dear Self (A Love Letter for the Doubtful)

Sometimes you will feel the heat of anger & the torment of isolation. You'll need to express yourself & ask for support when you want nothing more than to crawl into a hole & hide from what seems like a very cruel, dark world. Darkness will come & when it does remember that it's not something to avoid. The pang of grief & rage of betrayal are ALL valid feelings that you deserve to move through in precisely your own way. Know that you'll move THROUGH it by showing up & doing the work, one foot in front of the other.

The relationship that will transport you to newfound heights is the one you have with your Self...

Your inner perspective is indeed creating your outer reality.

Get still enough to notice... quiet enough to hear.

Do what's GOOD for you,

NOT what's easy.

If self care causes stress then it is NOT self care. When mindfulness, yoga, & self help drive you into a need to change & a feeling of unworthiness, STOP. Listening to others may help on occasion but trusting your highest Self will gain you the courage to get out of bed, take a step forward & face the world - grounded & unscathed.

When many seem to misunderstand you, know that a few will come to know the purity of your intentions. Those people are family & reflect love at you. Asking & receiving will be your most difficult practice. It's alright, alone serves you... but so does support.

Let the world hold you.

Don't believe any words that are rooted in shame, fear or criticism & DON'T for a second believe that unwanted emotions like fear, anger & sadness are at all bad or wrong - they deserve to be explored & FELT in order to make headway. Hear them. Feel them.

Start a dialogue with whatever comes up. Get curious & show compassion.

Some things are HEAVY so let them go.

You're doing work that's BIGGER than you AND

YOU are ALSO as VAST as the ocean... as great as the SKY.

GRACE is in the details.

KINDNESS lives in your fibers.

CARING is your natural state.

All of the pieces of you,
