What is Brave?

Brave is a browser that blocks ads, upgrades all sites to run https://, and blocks trackers from pulling your information via browsing. It helps reduce data charges to block unwanted downloadable content. It speeds search and request times for your websites by a factor of 2 on desktop and 8 on mobile. Their privacy settings have wide range customization. This includes privacy feature such as “Private Tabs with Tor" that stop trackers and provide a deep level of protection. The best thing, you guess it! The team uses Blockchain technology to enact on these features. To top it all off, you can get paid for browsing and servicing your site, YouTube channel, or twitch channel to receive tips from people using brave! They have their browser for download on, Windows, Mac and Linux, as well as iOS and Android Devices.

Features Provided

Brave is a site that is full with nifty tricks. One you'll first encounter when you download the Brave browser, is that they have a browser integration to make browsing experience more familiar to a traditional. For example, if you use Safari and switch to Brave, most of your Safari settings and history can be imported into Brave, and Brave will appear and operate precisely identically your Safari browser, only difference is your data is protected, and privacy is secured. You'll have browser history still remain on the Safari servers, but the outside third party information is blocked.

Brave Desktop now supports most of the Chrome extensions in the chrome web store

Brave has a rewards system that rewards you with browsing the web. The browser operates in conjunction with the BAT(Basic Authentication Token) that offers user, publishers, and creators to receive payment online more effectively through use of blockchain technology.

Getting Paid to Browse

Brave + BAT (Basic Authentication Token) work hand in hand to provide you with a user boosted decentralized system. BAT is the cryptocurrency token that improves the efficiency of trade and value between users, advertisers, and publishers (I won't dive deeply into their system here, but in a later one, I'll review BAT). This is adds an extra incentive for creators to generate an extra income that is massively reduced in fees and transaction cost that would normally go to a third party.

I have been using Brave a little less than a few days and across 3 of my computers I have around 40 BAT each (time of writing this ~14.90-15.00 USD total). However, these funds are meant to be spent to your favorite creator which would reduce their initial usability. The funds do expire after 2 months of inactive use, which is a downside. On the bright side you'll collect more each month via airdrop. This surges the value so they can be spent accordingly.

If you own a website or have access to a web server, and can prove you are said owner of site via a TXT file for your site, or simply accessing your account through a redirect query, then you would in the gold for start generating funds by BAT Tips and adverts.
